Big Rock Candy Mountaineering designs outdoor clothing based on early American alpinists, mountaineers, and gear innovators who defined the outdoor style of the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.

Based on the rugged cold-weather parkas pioneered by American outdoor brands in the mid-20th century, this parka is built with a durable nylon shell in vivid, eye-catching colors and filled with a plush duck-down that delivers reliable warmth even on the harshest days. 

The zipper front is protected by a buttoned storm placket, sealing out icy gusts and blowing snow. Multiple drawcords at the hood, waist, and hem let you keep the wind out and your body heat in. Rib-knit sleeve cuffs add another barrier against frigid drafts. Practicality is woven into every detail, with two large lower pockets offering both top and side entry for storing gear and warming hands, plus an internal pocket to keep essentials secure and close at hand. Inside, a sleek 100% nylon lining reveals a vibrant pop of contrasting color.

All measurements are in centimeters and measured on a flat surface. Width is measured straight across the chest from armpit to armpit, length is measured at the back of the garment from the neck down and the sleeve length is measured from the top of shoulder of the arm to the end of the cuff. Across Shoulders is measured straight across from shoulder point to shoulder point.
